About Open Source

Open Source @ Brightcove is a community supported initiative to host a variety of applications, SDKs and tools for the Brightcove platform in one central location. Open Source Initiative Leaders

Brian Franklin

Brian is a Senior Software Solutions Engineer in the Professional Services department at Brightcove, based in Seattle, WA. He has been with Brightcove for nearly 4 years. His primary skill set includes PHP, C# .NET, JavaScript, ActionScript 3, CSS, and significant design and system architecture experience.

Brian joined Brightcove's Professional Services team seeking a creative and engaging group of like-minded professionals. Luckily, awesome people were in no short supply.

In his spare time, Brian runs an online art community and focuses on incubating startup business ideas. Other hobbies include sculpture, drawing, photography, painting, watching movies, and exploring natural and urban locations.

Brandon Aaskov

Brandon is a Software Solutions Engineer in the Professional Services department at Brightcove, based in Cambridge, MA, where he's worked for over 5 years. Brandon works with PHP, ActionScript, Ruby, JavaScript and front-end design languages.

Brandon came to Brightcove as a sought after internship in 2006, graduating that May with a Bachelor of Science degree from The New England Institute of Art majoring in Interactive Media Design. After sampling several different departments in the company, he landed in Professional Services and hasn't looked back since.

Brandon has a new hobby every other week, but since we won't count "playing video games" as a real hobby, we'll list skydiving as one of his most active pursuits outside of work.
